Gail Worth is president and owner of Gail’s Harley-Davidson in Grandview, Missouri. She purchased the dealership in 2000 becoming one of a limited number of female Harley-Davidson dealership owners in the country. The business is privately owned and is recognized as a top dealership in the country and the largest Harley-Davidson dealership in the Midwest.
Gail was selected as a 2007 laureate into the Junior Achievement’s Great Kansas City Business Hall of Fame and recognized for being one of the area’s most inspirational entrepreneurs. Gail’s Harley-Davidson was selected in 2006 as one of the Top 10 Small Businesses in Kansas City by the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce. In 2005 Gail was appointed to Harley-Davidson’s Dealer Advisory Council, making her one of only seven other Harley-Davidson dealership owners in the country to serve on this esteemed council. In 2004 Gail was chosen as one of Ingram’s Magazine’s Top 40 under 40 in Kansas City. And, Gail was selected as one of the Women Who Mean Business in Kansas City by the Kansas City Business Journal in 2003. Gail was voted Chairperson of Harley-Davidson’s management group of the nation’s top dealers from 1997 – 2002. And, each year since 2000, Gail’s Harley-Davidson has received Harley-Davidson’s prestigious Bar & Shield Circle of Excellence Award.
Gail has been active in the Harley-Davidson business since high school, learning all phases of the day-to-day operations and assuming a variety of key positions before purchasing her store. As Finance Manager, Gail was number one in sales for all Harley-Davidson Finance Managers in the United States from 1985 – 1988 and was hired by Harley-Davidson Corporate to steer a national finance seminar. As General Manager she increased sales a minimum of 15% every year from 1996 – 2000. Her dealership was nationally recognized in the top 15% of Harley dealers for customer satisfaction from 1997 – 2006.
In 2003 Gail established the American Heartland-Kansas City Chapter of the Harley Owners Group (H.O.G.), which today boasts nearly 2000 members, making it one of the largest and fastest growing H.O.G. chapters in the country.
Gail and international speaker Brian Sullivan host their own talk show each week on Mondays at 9 a.m. on HotTalk 1510. The duo gets inside the heads of some of the nation's great entrepreneurs, business executives in an educational and entertaining environment. Gail is also actively involved in civic groups and regularly gives speeches throughout the community.
As part of her success, Gail continues to give back to the community. The dealership sponsors several charity driven events each year and donates funds and merchandise throughout the year to churches, schools and community organizations. The dealership also sponsors many charity rides throughout the year, including Special Olympics, Wayside Waifs Humane Society, Hurricane Relief, 9-11 Remembrance and March of Dimes, just to name a few. Gail collected supplies for our troops overseas and toys for underprivileged children. In addition Gail actively participates in benefits for causes including finding cures for cancer and heart disease. Gail also sponsors motorcycle races at Kansas City International Raceway (KCIR) and social gatherings such as Kansas City’s various Bikes Nights, which draw hundreds of riders each week.
