Mr. Baum currently serves as Chairman of George K. Baum Group, Inc. Mr. Baum joined the firm of George K. Baum & Company on June 10, 1952, and was President of that organization from 1957 until 1982 when he was elected to Chairman of the Board, serving in that capacity until assuming his current title in April, 1994.
Business Organizations:
Mr. Baum has served on the Regional Firms Advisory Committee to the New York Stock Exchange. He has also served as a member of the Board of Directors of the National Association of Securities Dealers and as Chairman of the Nominating Committee of the local district of that organization; Chairman of the local district Investment Bankers of America; Governor, National Association of Investment Bankers of America; and Governor, Security Investors Association.

Mr. Baum also currently serves as a member of the following civic organizations: the Board of Directors of the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art; the Board of Trustees of the Kansas Chapter of The Nature Conservancy and is a Trustee of the George K. Baum Family Foundation. He has previously served on the Board of Directors of Jewish Heritage Foundation, Kansas City Economic Development Council, the New Reform Temple, Menorah Medical Center, and as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of UMKC.
