Kids crave opportunity. They want to dream about their future. Junior Achievement provides hope and inspiration through hands-on learning taught by local business professionals that focus on three key content areas: work readiness, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy.
Since 1955 JA volunteers from the business community have mentored the young people of Kansas City to help them understand how America works, inspiring them to recognize their talents and abilities, make positive choices, create opportunities for success, and understand the value of education and the importance of staying in school. Our mission is to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy, creating a brighter future for them and our community.
Each year, in the Greater Kansas City area, thousands of students participate in Junior Achievement, learning skills that will help them during their years as students and prepare them for a future of success and leadership. The Kansas City Business Hall of Fame event celebrates achievements and contributions of Laureates who have made a difference in our community. This serves as an example to the young people participating in Junior Achievement in the Kansas City area to help them dream and provide inspiration to achieve their goals. You can help Kansas City area youth achieve their dreams by attending and supporting the Kansas City Business Hall of Fame. Our vision is a brighter future for our children, our community, and its businesses.
